Baptisms are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month at St Paul’s Moss Vale
11.00AM or 12.00NOON

St Peter’s Burrawang on request
St Brigid’s Bundanoon on request
Exceptions to these times may occur during the time of celebrations e.g. First Holy Communion.
Baptisms are not held at St Francis Xavier, Berrima.
The possibility of the baptism of a child in St Paul’s Parish exists for existing parishioners of this Parish.
If parents are from another Parish, a letter of permission from the parents’ current Parish Priest is required before we can consider the Baptism.
Please phone or email the parish office and a Baptismal Package will be forwarded to you containing an application form and information.
The following requirements need to be emailed to the office before we can make an appointment to discuss your child’s Baptism.
- Baptism Application
- Copy of your child’s Birth Certificate
- Copy of one of the catholic Godparents Baptismal Certificate. Please note: that the minimum requirement is that at least one Godparent is of the Catholic faith (having made their First Holy Communion and Confirmation and be over the age of 16)
PREPARING FOR BAPTISM
All parents are asked to attend a Baptismal Preparation Class before their child is baptised. These are held on the last Thursday of each month between 4.00pm and 6.00pm in the Parish Meeting room located at 24 Garrett St, Moss Vale. The meeting is 30 minutes.
The preparation class is important for the information it provides, regarding the ceremony and for a broader understanding of the significance of the Sacrament of Baptism.
